A name in original country and western music,
well known to thousands of U.S. service men and women on military
installations in the U.S. and overseas for decades has re-emerged
and "a rarin to go" again with fiddle, banjo, mandolin, lead guitar
and more in addition to spell binding stories and comedy. A "Tops
in Blue" contest winner and performer in Military Special Services
traveling shows and productions.
Wade Jackson has traveled and performed on the same stages and shows
with JImmie Rodgers, Red Sovine, Grandpa Jones, George Morgan, The
Great Country comedian "Duke Of Paducah", Justin Tubb, Ernie
Ashworth, Nat Stuckey, Johnny Cash and Stonewall Jackson, who
happens to be his brother.
While stationed in Rhein Main, Germany on his last overseas tour
before retirement, Wade organized and led his famous "Strings Kings"
Band while booking and inspiring four other great bands which he
also managed.

The and great Tommy Duncan, Bob Luman, and Red Sovine were among the
famous big Country Music Stars who entertained thousands of U.S.
personnel and their dependents backed by Wade Jackson and the String
Kings.
He still corresponds with quite a few of his old GI Buddies and
loves to play engagements on military installations. "It's one of
the places I can really feel at home and love to get mail from
military folks and their supporting families", Wade said. Wade
related one instance, "While during the War in Korea, and our
Company E, 2nd Bn. of the 21st Regt. of the 24th Inf. Div. was being
held in reserve, a special services show of all GI talent came
through to entertain us and borrowed me, literally out of the
foxhole, to continue the rest of their entertainment stops with
them. I felt so honored and privileged that my eyes still get a
little damp when I think about it. My military career has been very
good to me and the music industry has also been another dream
fulfilling experience. |

I owe an eternal debt of deep and abiding gratitude and a very special dedication of this
Historical Presentation to the many thousands of fans who have been
supportive of my entertainer friends and I during the years between
my first enlistment in the Army on June 8, 1946 and retirement from
the Air Force in September 30, 1966. The military audiences have
always been so very gracious and such wonderful folks to perform
for. And let's be sure to include all the military families
and their dependents. they are the ones who bear the pain and
sacrifices of having to wait for their family support
person/hero/loved one and the center person to return from duty in
harm's way, while keeping our nation free! May our GOD BLESS AND
STRENGTHERN THEM ALL and MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA and preserve our
constitution! I dedicate this also to my GOD and My Country -
my heart swells with pride and my eyes get a little damp, when I
contemplate all the opportunities and blessings that have made so
many wonderful things possible for all of our family and myself.
